Hosted by the Imperial college of London, the Bhangra Showdown 2010 was an interesting event. Thanx to Karan who convinced me to come along and dragged Claudia as well.
As expected the show started late - desi's will remain desi's wherever we go. Even if most of them are BBCd's (British Born Confused desi's).
The competition was tough, between Kings college, Kingston university, Brunel university, Queenmary college,Leicester university, Birmingham university & Imperial college of London.
There were performances from bhangra group who's name I didn't quite catch, 'Funkology' and Shukshider Shinda.
I personally thought that Brunel university performed the best, but they came in 3rd place after Queensmary and the winners of this year's Bhangra Showdown, the sponsor college - the Imperial college of London.

After the weather finally improved today, Asad drove "us" to central London.
us = Asad's brother Fahad, Karandeep and yours truly.
Even though it was cold the boys did manage to keep up with me taking quite a few pictures of the beautiful Christmas lights and city. There were a few "Dude I'm freezing, lets go" and a couple of "Hey, I can't feel my fingers/ legs" ;-)
Anyways, here are a few snapshots of the day...

Hetal's friend Shruta had her graduation today. She's a TM student. Can't believe that our graduation will be next year.
